Edison came to us in April 2017 for our medical clinic, already in distress. Just a baby, his 10 year old brother Esky brought him to our team of doctors and nurses. He displayed signs of HIV related symptoms, and after we ran additional tests, we confirmed he was HIV positive and had syphilis. We began critical care measures for him including nutrients and and took first steps towards a treatment plan and regular care.
Edison is not the first child in crisis to come to us. We began assisting with Lovekin in late 2015. Nor will he be the last. We are establishing the Children in Crisis fund to raise the needed monthly funding for Edison’s ongoing care, and those we are yet to meet. It is our hope to meet his needs in the weeks, months and (prayerfully) years to come. In the event that the generosity of donors outlasts his life, the remaining funds will be used to care for other Haitian babies and children who are HIV positive and/or in crisis.
